Tuition-Waiver Study Places
Overview
While non-EU students typically pay tuition in Estonia, many public universities (like University of Tartu and Tallinn University of Technology) offer a limited number of "tuition-waiver" places. If you are awarded one of these places during the admission process, you do not have to pay tuition fees for the standard duration of your studies.
Eligibility Requirements
- Nationality: Open to all, though some universities prioritize EU/EEA students. Outstanding non-EU students can and do receive these.
- Academic Record: Must have exceptionally high grades in your Bachelor's degree.
- Program Requirements: Must be applying for a participating full-time English-taught Master's program.
How to Apply
- There is usually no separate application. You are automatically considered for a tuition-waiver place when you apply for admission to the university.
- Ensure your application is submitted by the priority deadline.
- Highest-ranking applicants on the admissions list are offered the waiver.
Expert Tips & Tricks
💡 Tip: Because this is purely merit-based and automatic, your entrance exam/interview score and your Bachelor's GPA are the only things that matter. Aim for perfection on the entrance requirements.
