This scholarship combines the NL Scholarship with the Maastricht University High Potential Scholarship. It is awarded to highly talented students applying to participating Master’s programs at UM.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Nationality: Non-EU/EEA.
  • Academic Excellence: Must rank in the top 5% of your previous degree program.
  • Age: Under 35 years old.
  • Program: Must apply for a participating full-time Master’s program at Maastricht University.

How to Apply

  1. Register for a participating Master’s program at Maastricht University via Studielink.
  2. Receive a student ID number, then log into the UM portal.
  3. Fill out the scholarship application form, upload a reference letter, and provide proof of academic excellence.

💡 Tip: Your reference letter is a critical component. Make sure your referee explicitly attests that you are among the top 5% of students they have taught.
