Overview
The Japan Student Services Organization (JASSO) provides this scholarship to support privately financed international students studying in Japan who face financial difficulties. It is widely accessible but highly competitive within universities.
Eligibility Requirements
- Status: Must be a privately financed international student (not receiving MEXT).
- Enrollment: Must be enrolled in a Japanese university, graduate school, or junior college.
- Academic: Must have a GPA of 2.30 (out of 3.00) or higher in the previous academic year.
- Financial: Your monthly allowance (excluding tuition) from supporters must not exceed 90,000 JPY.
