Overview

Designed to attract outstanding international students to Ireland. The GOI-IES is highly competitive (only ~60 awarded annually) and supports one year of full-time study at the Master’s or PhD level.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Nationality: Non-EU/non-EEA citizens.
  • Academic Offer: You MUST have a conditional or final offer of admission to an eligible Irish higher education institution BEFORE applying for the scholarship.
  • Merit: Requires an excellent academic record, strong personal statement, and demonstrable leadership potential.

How to Apply

  1. Apply to your chosen Irish university and secure an offer letter.
  2. Once the GOI-IES call opens (usually Spring), submit an application via the official online portal.
  3. Provide two references and a strong personal statement outlining why you chose Ireland.
