DAAD Scholarships (Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst)

The DAAD EPOS (Development-Related Postgraduate Courses) Scholarship is one of the most competitive and prestigious fully funded programs globally. It is specifically designed for professionals from developing and newly industrialized countries who wish to pursue postgraduate studies in Germany. The program aims to train future leaders who will return home and contribute to sustainable development.

• Academic Record: Must hold a Bachelor’s degree (usually a 4-year program) in a related subject with above-average grades (top third of class).
• Experience: Strictly requires a minimum of **two years of relevant professional work experience** at the time of application (internships and volunteer work generally do not count).
• Residency: You must not have resided in Germany for more than 15 months at the time of application.
• Target Group: Must be from a DAC-listed developing country.
• Language: Proof of English (IELTS/TOEFL) or German proficiency, depending on the program.

1. Select Your Program: Review the official DAAD EPOS brochure and select up to three eligible postgraduate courses.
2. Prepare Documents: Gather the mandatory DAAD application form, Europass CV, a strictly formatted Motivation Letter (max 2 pages), degree certificates, and transcripts.
3. Employer References: You must provide a recent reference letter from your current employer (on official letterhead, signed, and stamped) along with a Certificate of Employment proving your two years of experience.
4. Submit: Apply directly to the chosen university's master's program (not directly to DAAD). The university committee will nominate the best candidates to the DAAD.
